Serbian Powerhouse Returns After 26 Years

As the final round of the UEFA Europa League group stage wrapped up on Thursday, three Serie A clubs—AC Milan, Lazio, and Atalanta—secured top spots in their respective groups and moved forward to the round of 32.

Among them, Atalanta delivered an outstanding performance, remaining undefeated with four wins and two draws. On Thursday, they edged past Ligue 1 side Lyon 1-0 at home, thanks to a decisive goal from Petagna. This result placed them firmly at the top of Group E, finishing ahead of both Lyon and Everton. Group A will be represented by Villarreal and Astana; Group B by Dynamo Kyiv and Partizan Belgrade; Group C by Braga and Ludogorets; Group D by AC Milan and AEK Athens; Group E by Atalanta and Lyon; Group F by Lokomotiv Moscow and Copenhagen; Group G by Viktoria Plzeň and Steaua Bucharest.

Group H sees Arsenal and Red Star Belgrade move on; Group I includes Salzburg and Marseille; Group J features Athletic Bilbao and Östersund; Group K brings in Lazio and Nice; and finally, Group L is led by Zenit Saint Petersburg and Real Sociedad.
